42 years of hunting finally got one, a seated dime 1875 cc 5 inches deep. Ben hunting for 2 days with the CTX first day was confusion with all the modes and stuff. Set up with factory coin program found a lot of new stuff . About 30 percent of finds where with some kind of junk this site is a old fairgrond. Did some more reading set up in ferrous coin with combine tones, target trace what a differance. I would get a target and you could see the cursor filling up as you swing over the target more and more.Sometimes there was just low gronts saying it was rejecting the target but the id was saying 12.43 thats how i ended up with the seated.I was using p2 screen which is open.Moving along i would listen for any part of a high tone and sweep it till i got some colour in the cursor with a 12.37 to12.46 and by gosh most of the time it was a coin or copper scrap button or somthing.There always was some other junk target on the bottom of the screen at the same time.This detector has a lot of stuff to play with its going to take some time and digging to get this baby lock in.I'm going to have to retire my fav exp 2.Total today $3.42 in change 1 junk ring 1906s barber dime a wheat and a double first 1875cc never got a cc before.Thankx

Very well done! Sounds like you had a great hunt. The CTX is an awesome machine and I can't wait to get out with mine at some point tomorrow. The target trace feature is simply amazing. Congrats on the seated, that's awesome. I look forward to seeing your coming finds. HH -Marc

Congrats on the Seated:twodetecting::minelab::cheers:

Awesome - if anyone deserved a seated it was you - congratulations!

Congratulations on your Seated Dime! And a Carson City to boot! In my opinion, they are certainly one of the most, if not THE most, beautiful US coins ever minted. Sounds like the Combined tones with Ferrous - Coin and Target Trace has another follower. Great hunt and excellent detail in your post. Thanks. HH Randy

Good finds...sounds like your getting the CTX figured out
