"40"

Really rusted small nails and pieces of fence wire will read 40 for me. I scrim it out in good soil.

Only thing good I found in a 40 was followed by DD.

40 is shit.

Big silver rings come in at 40 and bounce down to 39,but mostly 40. I've found these all reading 40, one ring is huge. Remember soil can make your readings different. My favorite number to see is 40, you better dig it !!!!!!!!!!!

I get 40's all the time. Most of the time it's a alu. can, but I also get some silver half dollers. Also some silver rings. Most of the time i dig 40's.Found a silver half doller at 6 inchs at Grandpa's house. It was a strong 40.

ive pretty much given up on the #'s game...sound tells the truth..might i say most of the time....pull tabs allways sound like gold rings

I agree with wayupnorth66. The # is usually junk for me too. The quality of the tone is the only thing that will prompt me to dig. Same thing goes for the gold tones.
