4" VS 5.75" COIL

ABOUT TO BUY DELEON W/ STANDARD 9X8 COIL, WOULD LIKE YOUR OPINION AS TO WHICH ONE OF THESE WORKS BEST FOR YOU IN TRASHY AREAS?

they're both good, but the 5.75" coil works well enough to leave on for trash and regular hunting....the 4" coil is really small and personally I wouldn't use it for anything more than searching through trash.

I have to agree with digitaltim. The 4" is great in really heavy trash or for detecting tight spots, but the 5.75 is deeper and serves quite well as a general use coil IMHO.

I have the 4" coil and it is a super coil-It quietens down the Silver umax so much that I sometimes wonder if it's working. I don't get as many signals from nearby metal posts or deep large targets. But like the others have noted, lt's tiresome to hunt a large area. Not because of the weight, of course-just the time spent. Now others love it and tell me that I shouldn't be in such a hurry- just enjoy the time. In a/m mode in tot lots, it works wonders. I really wish I had a 5.75" coil-as I'm sure it's probably the missing link in my arsenal.
