It's a sad time for the officers families in Buchanan County, Virginia.. All four were shot by a man using a high powered rifle/scoped...You can google search the story if you wish to read about it...Law enforcement is a very dangerous job and it gets worse when the economy is bad...I know from being there myself for many years...

One of my sons recently became a Police Officer and i am honestly more fearfull for his safety than i was when he was in Iraq or Afghanastan.

I hope your son does well in his new profession..In this type of career you have to be accutely aware of your surroundings all the time, even when off duty..It will help keep you alive........Some may scoff at this but I got down on my knees each day before I went to work and asked God for wisdom and protection...

Capitol punishment needs to be reinstated in more states across this country...Cold blooded killers, rapist and child molesters need their careers permanently ended...

I asked him to do the very same thing each and every day. I also asked him to do the same at the end of each day and give thanks.
I feel that he won't do either so i make it a point to do it for him each day.

As for him bein aware at all times. That is somethin that i tried hard to instill in all my sons from day one.
It is somethin that is more and more neccessary in the degradin society that we live in.
I allways tell them, and my wife..don't be carefull................be READY !!!
