Supposed 1830 farm house, with 1850 Barn. I think, contrary to what the recent owner reports its been hunted before. I searched 6 hours non stop. Oddly I found no large cents, no wheat backs, no Indians, no quarters, no jewelry. Did find a couple modern nickles, one modern Canadian quarter and these 4 dimes. The 4 dimes where all in a swath about 5 feet wide along an old garden wall. I honestly think that patch must of been inaccessible when whoever searched it before, or the bull dozer sometime in the past, missed that spot. Couldnt get a good pic tonight no matter how hard I tried- they where a 1903 Barber, ( the thinnest and most worn Barber Ive ever found), two 1917s mercs and a 1929s merc. Unfortunately the yard on the side of the house with the original front door, facing the road, had two full loads of fire wood dumped on it making it unsearchable. Im going to make a return trip and stack that wood for a search there and also check the barn floor which is all dirt. The 75 ltd, with numbers jumping 72, to 80 and 90s, absolutely nailed the dimes all at 8 inches. With the jumpy VID i still knew from the sound alone I probably had silver dimes. I know the machine was working fine, that place was just finely picked. Although the house had some siding I could see an old looking stone foundation. Good Hunts all, CO

Nice job Curt. Bummer is was previously hunted, seems like you have some competition out there.

Check that barber mint mark, a 1903S is a key date

No telling what is there, either under the wood, or in and around the barn...at least you know the silver could be there. Theres probably some bottles to be dug in the old outhouse, if a person was so inclined..heck, maybe even a cache buried in a jar or something...Nice work, Oz!
