4 Silvers .................... I usually do not post my finds... So pleased with the E-trac performance I just had to mention my finds..

1915 ish Apartment building. Common back yard for tenants... Yard has been redone at least once in the last 98 years.

E-trac hit 2 dimes, and 2 Silver Quarters.. One near surface on a Mercury dime..Both quarters about 6" deep with trash next to them.

Other dime was a Rosie at 5" ....

Ohhhh it's good to be swinging an E-trac ............. Question....is there a way to set the Etrac so you get that warble sound on Silver ..Like the Explorers ??

Congratulations on your silver Elton! Play with your Threshold Pitch, until you can hear it the way you want. That's the only think I can think of.

NebTrac

Thanks Neb............... I will try that ............I got a personal e-mail saying it could not sound like the Explorers as it was set up differently. It does do the high pitch sound ok..just don't hear that warble sound I am used to LOL........ No complaints this baby works exceptionally well and nails the Silver if it's there.

it isn't supposed to...because it isn't an Explorer.

I LOVE my E-trac and am hunting with it 50% of the time alongside my Explorer...but no matter what you do or how you set it...it will not give that high pitched, "tinkling bell sound"...or what I have always called the "warble" over deep silver.

You CAN get it close though if that's what you prefer...just by maxing the variability..and when you do it has it's OWN unique silver sound...and it is AWESOME:beers:

I'm beginning to grow quite fond of the E-Trac silver "chirp". The Explorer silver "warble" and the E-trac silver "chirp" are a sweet one-two punch for me.

Have fun with the E-Trac...and keep digging that silver.

Nice digs Elton! You won't get that sound as much as you can get it out of the explorers. I set my variability at 28 from the factory 25 and the silver screams dig me!
