4 silvers, 2 wheats, 2 tokens....SUPER DAY!

Was hunting at a private yard and man was it a good one! Got silver wheats, tokens and even a silver ring!
The 1941 merc was from a park hunt yesterday, did not find any wheats and very little clad, ready to quit for the day and was swinging on the way to the car, not 5 feet from the car I got a decent signal about 5" down and out popped the merc, saved the day!

Today I went to a private yard and found the two wheats, 1942 Merc dime, sterling ring, 2 amusement tokens, and the one silver quarter that is so worn I cannot even get a date from it, I am thinking it is an old Canadian quarter??? Can anyone ID it from the little details that are left on it?
That makes 45 silver coins for the year, and ring #13.

Another great day for you! Congratulations. The old Canadian Quarter is the King George V series, minted in three series, from 1911 - 1936. It is tough to tell which series your's is from. But it does bear a striking resemblance to the 1911 version. I suppose an assayist could tell if it were a 1911 by the silver content?????

Regardless, it's always great to dig some silver. Again, congrats on another great hunt. HH Randy

thank you for the ID Randy! This coin was only about 2-3" deep so I suspect it was in circulation way past the 1930's...lol

Yep, you sure did have a super day.

I've found a few Canadian large cents in the past, but I've never found any Canadian silver. I guess I'm going to have to put that one on my " want list "

Yea Beale I'm gonna have to go on vacation in his town! Let Terry be the tour guide:thumbup: Good hunting Terry, you are em it like a mockingbird on a June bug.....

Congratulations on another great day. I like it all but find the ring and the tokens really neat.

Dave

Another great hunt. Maybe the 13th ring for the year will make the 14th one be GOLD!

You would have to be in there.
