4 Silver coins and a few nice relics...

Bavaria Mike

New member
A few hours on the fields in Bavaria this weekend. I have been hunting this field for several years now and it always gives up some great finds including my gold coin. There was a farm/hotel here from early 1000 to the mid 1600s, strange I have not found much dating the site as most finds date around the 1700-1800s after the farm was gone. Here

Good stuff Mike. I would love to find coins as old as those you are finding. Thanks for posting a pic of the field, as well as the finds. HH Randy

Hi Mike"Thanks for showing us your wonderful finds"
Very impressive as usual....

Very nice assortment of things spanning quite a few years by the looks. You never know what a field will yield and I have been surprised time and time again, especially this summer (my hunting partners have had all the luck, though). The Vicksburg medal really hits home, being from the USA. Ron

The Nazi swastika pin has been IDed, it was given to WWI soldiers who were wounded or fought on the front lines by the Nazi Party.

Am I correct in thinking..The swatika was not a bad thing till Hitler used it????

The swastika has been a symbol of power and good luck for over 3000 years until Hitler used it, Hitler killed it! The Boy Scouts of America were using it up into the 1930s when WWII broke out. I was surprised to see a swastika on a Roman vase in the Colchester England museum dating around 200 AD. HH, Mike
