Met Cliff at one of our beaches after work today. It was a little choppy but the tide was falling and we made the best of it. I got lucky a got a nice old LA France 10K ring (6.6g) with a small real diamond. The other two on the left are silver and the gold colored one I'm not sure about. It seems to stand up to the 10K test. It only has the marking inside shown in the picture. It appears to have been in the water a very long time. Does anyone know that mark?
Thanks.

I found a gold ring a few weeks back that was made between 1849 and 1874, it looked in the same state as yours. It could be old gold. Have a look online at hallmarks, and use a jewellers loop on the ring. Nice finds :)

That looks like a U with an arrow through it. If so it would be made by a company called Uncas. I have found several of their silver rings. It's an old company but I believe they are still in business.

Good Lord!!.....who would wear a ring with that on it???They deserved to lose it!....Those are some old crusty rings.Been seeing that a lot out there with coins and silver after that steady pounding last week....seems to have taken a lot of sand off the bar and like you said thin sand hard bottom. Think I might of seen you all yesterday, took a ride down the beach after recovering a ring that was lost while the guy was getting on the para-sail boat just on the edge of the sand bar...10 minutes of hunting, the only target, first scoop, flipped me a $20 and I was gone.Still waiting for his wife to send the pics.....Nice hunt you guys had, hope to run into you sometime!
