4 inch coil for qd 2

bossman

New member
Is anyone using the 4 inch coil on the qd2 if so do you like it ? I went and picked the pin pointer from harbor freight like much better than my bounty hunter that came with md. went and spent some time at tot lot 6 quarters 5 dimes 6 Penny's and one Mexican coin gold and silver color had1 $ on it ?

Bossman, I like the 4" coil for getting closer to fences and other metal objects that just can't be reach with a bigger coil, and it keeps you focus in a smaller area of detection for really trashy areas...:detecting:

When I hunt beneath the Jungle Gym at the playground, I leave my 8" coil on the stem, lay down the detector with me sitting beside it and plug in the 4" coil to search freehand.

It's great for gettin around finger size saplings in fence rows at the school where I used to play

Hello,
I had a 4" coil on my QDII for well over a year and I use it more than the standard 8". pin pointing is easy and fast.Enjoy it.
Happy Hunting.

Ed- I like the way you search with the 4 inch coil. That would save a lot off the hassel with changing over then back to the 8 inch! I will have to try to remember that one!:bounty:
