Got off work couple hours early and found some beauties! Dug an 1839 seated half dime, a general service eagle button, a .58 caliber minie ball and some roundballs. I FINALLY found my very first ORDNANCE BUTTON!!!!!!!!! These are pretty rare and date between 1834-1851 period. Mainly used during the Mexican War period 1847-48. You all take care, I be heading out there Saturday with the new Super 12 coil....goin deep now!!!! :)

Seated's are nice, but I love those buttons................great hunt Digger.

Awesome finds. In what area do you live? I wish I lived in an area where I would be able to dig those kind of treasures. HH Dennis in Idaho

Nice hunt. Unfortunately, I'm looking out at 6" of snow and 7degree temperatures.

I'm from the Kansas City area Dennis. The midwest certainly is not as old as the Eastern States but if one looks hard enough, you can find the old spots!

That's one sharp looking bullet. Oh, I would hate to be at the end of that. Great detecting, love them all. Thanks and HH, Nancy
