OH MY FISHER FRIENDS!!!!
Tonight was another one for the books! The LUD and I set out in southwest iowa tonight to conquer the lay of the land and had a magestic night! The LUD outdid me last wednesday night finding 2 barbers, an injun, a merc, and some wheaties. Tonight happended to be my night! I hit the lotto-finding one of each dime series-in chronological order backwards! First, i hit on a 52 rosie and thought eh, 10 minutes later- another solid hit with an 18 merc-thought-very cool my night was complete! Not 10 minutes later- had another solid hit-dug and found aluminum.......thought the plug was done but re-swiped my f75 back over, and wait! still a solid dime hit-i keep sifting through and find my very first1906 barber!!!! Alright-i'm ready to call it a night and go to heaven. Not 5 minutes later i have another strong hit-could it be another dime?? YES!!! This time-an 1874 seated liberty dime-ANOTHER FIRST!! Who could imagine such a night? 20 minutes later i think i have a wheatie.....start digging....and to my surprise-a 1860's civil war button-check out the detail on this beauty!!! This yard was overgrown and we were swinging about 4 to 6 inches above the dirt line- I'm gonna grab my mower and mow it down to the bone. There is definitely more out there-perhaps a standing liberty? Some injuns? Some seated ladies? Stay tuned!!!

This, my brothers, was the night of F75Tom. It's funny when you hunt with a partner, sometimes you hit it, sometimes he hits it, and sometimes you both find cool stuff. Tonight Tom whooped ass on the dimes. Two firsts, but the picture of the seated does not do it justice. This is a real nice dime, and the button is the icing on the cake. This yard WILL yield up more, once we get it squared away. Good job Tom! You keep finding the quality!

That is terrific, Tom! I'm still waiting for some real silver. I do have to ask (a search did not help), what does LUD stand for?

Well, I see from the post that came in as I was posting that LUD is a person.

Would you mind sharing your settings while working in the tall grass? Thank you.

the lud is my best bud-he's the one who bestowed upon me the art of md'in. This man is the MAN of all men. Never will you meet a more open minded, open hearted, cool ass dude-we're md'n buds for life

settings were 15 disc, 30 notch, sens at 85. Stuff just starting showing up-got lucky! GB was 57btw

Thank you, Sir. I was in the same ballpark with your settings.

Amazing and breathtaking finds...congrats Tom!

Good luck to both of you with the rest of the site.

Just beautiful, congratulations, how much area do you have to cover at the site?

about an acre- this was all whithin a 30 ft by 50 ft. area-i don't know if it would have been a clothes line or what? but that ground had 8 inch high grass on it-mowin it down this weekend-hopefully theres more to come!
