4" coil

I use it on the Silver U. It does what it is supposed to do; gets between trash. The soil is very mild here. I can get about 5" on a dime . That is very good for a small coil. I lent the Silver U & the 4" to my neighbor. He found a barber half at about 7"! I do not know what his settings were. It is a good coil to use in locating electrical wires in your house or scanning old log cabin walls. I also made a super pin pointer conversion by using a sawed off lower rod. I carry the control box in a back pack.
Hope this helps.

I've used the 4" on a variety of umax detectors with good results considering the size and intended use of the little critter.

After you quit laughing at the little hocky puck out at the end, you'll be impressed with how well it works in trash, close to playground equipment, fences etc. You will have to slow down and over lap heavily to get the best results, but that's a plus really.

No, but I just got the 5.75 inch for my Golden. So far I like it. Amazing that i do not notice a difference in depth. Reduced weight of already light machine :clapping:
If you are/were using stock coil then the reduced size is quite extreme. You will take more time to cover an area but you will also increase your finds IMHO. Good luck and keep us posted.
