$4.95 hunting all day.... Then this....1930 quarter

I spent the whole day hunting 3 different old schools and found $4.95 in clad. I come home with no silver and decided to hit the yard again and try and find something. It has been months since it has produced. I hunt for 2 hrs and find deep cans in areas that I had not detected before. I decide I have had enough and head back in and swing my coil over a gopher mound and get a ridiculous double slam up to 92. 88-92 VDI over and over again. Out pops this sweet 1930 walking liberty. I video taped the dig but it sucks because of the light quality but I will post it anyway. I will get it up in the next day or 2. I cant believe it, no more killing the gophers. The area is littered with nails and large iron and I have been digging it out piece by piece.

It looks as if the gopher bit the quarter to see if its real..

A Standing Liberty with a date is quite a nice find. She is a beauty........

I cant believe the run of silver I am having this year. I honestly feel like it is the will of GOD. It is some much fun. Tomorrow is a big hunt on a 1880 homestead, that may have never been detected.

I forgot to add that I found another pocket watch at 10" in the middle of a walking path. Alongside the path I found 2 wheats, one of them is from the 20's. This was a couple of days ago.

I found a coin spill today with $2.00 plus in it of clad... Gotta pay for them headphone batteries.

Go figure - hunt all over town, find only clad - and come home and find silver in your own yard!! Beautiful coin - nice goin!
