4.5x7 coil ?

Yes it is a DD and not v rated or advertized as optimized for the V's.

I have the 5.3 v coil but don't like it. I think i like the DD's better. I think this coil would work on the V3i ok. I will have to try it and see i guess.

I looked at the coil you are referring to on Kellyco's site, it does say that it is for "All Spectras" but, why not go with an Eclipse DD 4x6 Shooter from White's? They build them themselves and are designed to work with their machines, no wondering and no issues with returns if you do in the rare instance get a bad coil. I have heard horror stories of people trying to deal with customer service with the EXcellerator line of coils, IMHO it isn't worth it, I would stick with the product made here in the USA by people who care about what they are building, and the customers they serve. Plus the fact that you would be buying a product that you can be sure will not harm your machine and even if it did, White's has your back! Just my two cents worth. Good luck.

Now it says all the coils are for the V3I ????? Yet if the black 10x12 SEF is for the V3i why do they need an optimized for V3i 10x12 SEF? It's nice to see people who will experiment for us.

Our experience has been that the after market coils suffered in 3 frequency and single 22.5 kHz.

I was thinking of the 4x6 coil and hear that it doesn't go to deep? So was thinking the 4.5x7 Excel would get the depth ?

I don't have experience with the 4.5x7, but if you can't run the higher RX settings it will affect performance.

I just don't understand how all the coils are now listed for use with the Spectras without explanation, as they were not before. As soon as the white optimized 10x12 came out it got hyped big time.

I'm not saying, don't buy it but, I believe IMHO that the depth gains are inflated.

Maybe a 4.5x7 user will answer or maybe a 6x8 user. I know more guys use the 6x8.
