4.5 scorcher coil versus 4.5 sniper coil

Is the 4.5 scorcher coil for the GTI-2500 a better coil than the 4.5 sniper coil? A recent post advised me to get an extra shaft for my GTI-2500 and the scorcher coil and I like that idea. I also like the idea of getting the Ace-250 with the 4.5 sniper coil for a back up detector. I believe the 4.5 scorcher is a DD coil, but would have to look and see. I welcome any pros and cons from the experts and more experienced metal detector users. I just want to know if there is a significant difference that would make one coil excel as compared to the other. Thanks.

Yeah, they're the same.:wiggle:I use the 5" Excellerator on my GTI 2500 which is a double"D". I personally prefer it to the 4.5" Scorcher. Better depth and coverage.:detecting:Great little search coil. I recommend it to anyone that has a GTI machine. KellyCo has 'em for $139.95 now. I paid over two-hundred back when I got mine, and I feel it was well worth it.
Best of luck to ya whatever you decide upon.:biggrin:Happy Hunting!:)

Nice hot little coil. Finally got me another one recently and it sure is fun to play with. My little nuggets sure do like it on my GTI 2500...:garrett:
