Went back in the woods ond on and around the old road found more old shot shells , and a nice big heavy slug some old straping for holding a wagon together and some unkown object I dont know no silver , I have to remember this was the great depreasion , and i was lucky to find the penny. try again tomorow I do beleive the spring is from a bisicle seat i think

Great job. I was never a big relic hunter but you make it look interesting. That's not to say I haven't found a lot of cool non-coin objects over the years, though. Always nice to dig something interesting where you'd otherwise get skunked without an old coin for the day.

Nice relic hunt Gunnar!

I know of an old road bed now that I think of it. Its close to where I fly fish for native brooke trout. I'll try it out. Its a great place to go because I can take my dog and let her off the leash. Maybe I'll take the fly rod and detector! What a day that could be! HH. Matt

Gunnar - the unknown object looks like it's for a foot-brake of a wagon; the lip keeps your foot from slipping down. Don't know if that's what it is, but I've seen something similar somewhere - will have to think about that. May have seen it at a county fair this last fall. I'll see if I can remember where I saw that - if it was the fair, my brother was with me, and he will probably remember.
