3X7 concentric coil for LST

Don't bother looking!
I had one very good one (I called it the Rhino coil)
I sold it to a gold prospector in California, who then contacted me after he tested it and told me it was fine and that all those coils were meant to be deposed of by the company (Tesoro) he said that he had researched them and contacted Tesoro about the coils and he told me (if my memory serves me right) that there is only four of those known to not have been destroyed, so, there is his and that leaves only three others left in the world!
Tesoro recalled ALL of those coils and discontinued them due to overwhelming problems with the design.
Had, I had that information before I sold the coil I probably would have held on to it.
Now, I didn't personally research that information but the guy who bought the coil from me seemed to have an awful lot of information about the coils history, and he was very careful about purchasing the coil from me, he said they were just to rare to find AT ALL and even more rare to find one with the person claiming it to be in good working order.

Thanks for that info Mark...I did not know that. I thought they were a normal "come and go" item. I have had 2 of them in the past history of Lobo's (30+ years?) and I really liked them. Wish I never sold them. They worked fine for me when looking for gold items in tot lots. Thanks again for the reply.

Well your post isn't totally off topic because those little elliptical coils for the first version Lobo turn up pretty often, but when anybody is searching for a coil for the Lobo Super Trac they have to be careful about the first version coil! they will not work on the LST! Not only do they have a different style connector but the circuitry is different also, so you can't just rewire a correct connector onto the coil and it work.
