I just bought one. Not sure if I should put it on my Silver or my Bandido. What do you think would be the best fit for the 3x18? DO any of you have any tips on using the 3x18? Thank you for all the help....
The best thing to do is try it on both detectors and see which one you like it best on. A lot is going to depend on the type ground you're detecting in.
Howdy. You are gonna love the CSC... I have run mine on both the silver and my Bandido ii umax.
It worked great on my silver.... But I feel, hands down it works even better on my b2 umax. It's my go to set up. Keeping in mind I am mostly a park and field hunter for jewelry.
Seems to go a bit deeper etc with the b2.
Also, for me.... I hunt with threshold set to around 2 or 3 o clock. Min disc. And can practically max out the sensitivity... This set up will get the job done. The pinpoint is amazing.... I go right off the tip. Get your hit.... Start to wiggle left and right while walking the coil backwards.... Until signal is gone. All this is done in a few seconds. Then.... At the point the signal is gone... Tilt the back end of the coil up so you read the edge of the signal spot on!
Swing a little slower than with a normal coil... Keep the coil flat... I mow the grass with mine...It has picked up small diamond stud earrings... And chains.... Set like this. I am always surprised at what it will hit on. Also.... Don't ignore the quieter signals... They can turnout tto be deeper coins etc. Make sure you have it nicely ground balanced.
I have it set to auto for the Tune. It's even a lot of fun to hunt in Tot lots and volleyball courts in all metal. She'll let you know if something is there.
This set up is the I use most of all.... Even moreso tthan my Vaquero. She'll hit hard on gold rings etc.
Overlap your swings by 2 or so inches.
I swing straight across... Like painting a wall. This machine leaves hardly anything behind.
Again.... The CSC worked great with my silver.... But I am like wow with it on the b2 umax!
Happy to answer any other questions etc...
You are gonna love it!
You will give up some depth as compared to stock coil.... But for me... It's plenty deep enough. It really surprised me.
I have one on my Cortes. I set it to All-Metal. I use it in the dry sand on the beach. This is a salt water beach (South Texas). I can use full sensitivity, just in the dry sand. My first target with the CSC was a nickel at 9 inches. It's nice to see the ID and hunt in all metal. Can't wait till after a few more weeks of summer to clean the beach.
