Tried it on a sports field for shallow drops. Works great, pinpointing with my TRX probe right on target. Used it for less then a hour, did not dig zincs got $1.02 cents.
 
Frank how is it in your soil I don't live to far from NH . Any issues with GB being preset. And are zincs at at certain # so you avoid digging them.
 
Seems to work fine in most of my soil. Forgot what the number for zincs were I just went by the bar reading when it went over zincs they were right on. I was not looking for rings so did not dig any zinc readings.
