3x18 big foot coil,

Flintstone

Well-known member
Hi All, I have a 3x18 Whites Bigfoot coil that i just got back from Cal. that had to be returned. Can anyone tell me how much this coil sells for. It is the 6.5 Bigfoot for the XLT, 5900, 6000 pro, Eagle II sl, It has some yellowing and marks but now it works like new. I put it on my 6000 pro and Eagle II, and it was spot on on VDI,s. I don,t know to sell it or not. Thanks fro help. Flintstone

It would sell for about $200. If it was for the MXT, M6, and DFX it would sell for about double that.

Thanks Tom, I knew they were high, but didn,t think they were that high. I use this one on my Eagle II and it sure covers ground fast. Flintstone

For recent drops of coins and Jewelry, nothing comes close.

Why did they stop making the bigfoot coil?

The guy who made them died and took his secrets with him. Others have tried to duplicate the Bigfoot but have fallen short.

Hi Larry, who makes the new Bigfoot for the MXT? Do they get better depth than the old 6.59K for the XLT? Thanks Flintstone

BIg Dawg is the latest try to duplicate the Bigfoot. I tried one and was not the least bit impressed, very noisy and lacks depth. You can google it.

I purchased a used Big Dawg coil from a forum member. It it had a stability problem so I contacted Pinnacle Design, they replaced the coil at no cost. I can use it on my V3i in the 3 frequency mode and on my MXT PRO. In my soil it will detect dimes at 4 to 5 inches.
