3rd time out with the new T2 LTD!!

I'm a first time poster here. Just thought I'd drop in and give you my thoughts on the new T2 LTD since some of you may be interested in it. Along with Mike Scott I'm probably one of the first to get my hands on one of the new prototypes. I believe at the time 4 weeks back he and I were probably the only 2 that had them. Well I've used mine for about a month now and everytime I go out with it I can't help but walk around with a smile. I've been digging for about 25 yrs and let me tell you up to now this is absolutely the best detector I've ever used! My first 2 times out I was testing in old sites and was getting accustomed to all the power it had in the boost mode. When they say boost they mean boost!! It's hot and deeeep!! I've used all sorts of machines over the years and the new LTD is second to none in the depth and descrimination department. No other company offers a detector this deep, this fast, and this light, it's just not out there. I just love it and am already saving my money to get my hands on another one for a backup! We all need to remember though that the amount and quality of finds made are only as good as the person running the equipment so a persons skill level with anything accounts for a lot. With that said first Texas has given the public the best equipment ever made for metal detecting. These new LTD's are as of 2010 are as good as it gets. Once you get your hands on one it's up to you to learn what to do with it but these LTD's have got all the right stuff!!

Here's my finds with the LTD from a new site here in SC we found last weekend. I was making my buddies sick with all the stuff I was finding. One had a minelab the other a regular T2.They both dug stuff but the quantity and quality for both of them lagged behind what I dug with the LTD. We had a good ride home and the LTD and how well it did was talked about all the way heh heh.

Peter thanks for posting .I have not seen much on the T2 LTD .Can you bush button between the old mode and the new LTD mode
Have you compared it to the old F75
How much more ability does boot mode have over stock and i am not necessarily saying depth but ID capability Thanks Mike

Hi,

I havent really done much button pushing on it. I've learned enough to tell that the detectors defininitely deeper in boost mode than DE. So when I've hunted the few times I've been out with it I've left it in boost no need to compare for me.Signals are more enhanced and the Id's are too. I can ID trash better with it than the regular verison because of the signals being enhanced. I havent been in a real irony site with it yet in boost, but it's so strong you'd probably have to turn the power way down or choose the regular DE mode if the irons real bad. The boost really kicks it up a notch and I'm not kidding. One hunting partner I was digging with one day got a signal with his regular T2 dug around for a bit then lost whatever he heard. He started to walk away and since I was close asked me to check his hole to see if I could hear anything with my LTD in boost. I went over his hole and it sounded off loud and clear not a blasting signal mind you but nice and repeatable and nice and smooth. I told him he'd better get back over here and find the target. He came back ran his coil over the hole and again he got nothing. I removed my headphone jack and told him listen to this there's something down there. Well he rooted real deep and out popped a nice dropped yankee minnie ball! This is a true story so maybe this will give you an idea of what I mean by deeper. The iffy signals you may get on your regular F75 or T2 won't be iffy anymore, you'll here the deep things!! I'd much rather be swinging an LTD in a site than anything else I know that. They're strong and the descimination is still the same, awsome! The regular T2 and F75 are still great detectors( I own both) this is a little step up that's all.If you're really serious and want the best first Texas just came out with it. I wouldnt feel bad at all if I had to hunt a site with either regular versions and i know I could do real well. It's just after I've used the LTD I wouldnt choose the regular versions if I had a choice heh heh. This thing definitely has spoiled me already and I loved the regular versions!!
