3rd time out with the new ACE 250

dk dogs

New member
Took the new Ace 250 out again today. Found several coins .One being a 1940 wheat penny and a 1956 wheat penny. Also found a cool 1967 dog tag with a 1960 nickel
Not to bad for a bit over an hour and a half. I wish I could find a wheat Penny that was in good shape.
Thanks
Dave

The 1940 coin is my oldest coin so far in the past couple weeks since I got into this hobby

Congrats on the good hunt! Wheats are good to find. They can indicate the general age of an area. You are doing very well, Beale.

Congrats on those Wheat backs.I like them for some reason. My oldest one found is 1928

I REALLY like the ACE. I have only had about 3 false reports from it. I have found about $10.00 in change in the last couple weeks. The pin pointing option on the ACE is really good. I think it is worth every penny. I just ordered the Garrett Pro pointer today. From the reports I have looked at, I am sure I will like that also. The arrow head "thing" is just a piece of junk metal that looks like an arrow head. I was going to toss it but my daughter wanted to keep it. The soccer object is a "gold" medal some kid most have lost. My daughter who is 3 was so excited when we found it. Of course she thinks she is Dora the explorer when we go treasure hunting!!!

I didnt realize I posted the same picture twice... Sorry... Here is the other picture I wanted to post of the wheat pennies and the 1960 nickel

Found a dog tag recently, same year - 1967.

As for Wheats, coppers universally come out of the ground on bad shape. Not much you can do about it. I just chuck them in a jar and go look for more.
