3RD TIME OUT, WITH THE MIRAGE-the good ,bad,& ugly

Got out today with a new setting I like , some like to crank things up to get max depth, but it does not always give the best effect, I used a mellow , laid back backed off setting , and still got good depth three things on the Mirage will boost the depth, 1- high gain , 2 lower pulse delay- 3 faster tick on the threshold, I toned them all back as you can see i dug the good the badd & the ugly but not much foil or small Iron & the small Iron was near suface, I was surprised how deep some of the tabs where, i was getting them in the 4 to 6" range, I also swept it in the mineralized gravel and the machine was so quite i had to sweep my shoe to make shire it was on , then i hit that dime , I just love this machine , but the machine like to mock me when i find Iron , HA HA no thats the interference , - all you have to do is move the frequency knob and it shuts up just made the video to show how it sounds & performs in real world I filmed all targets as i dug about 50/50 iron non iron nothing seemed to be masked today but i was not digging any foils exempt a few thicker ones and all the small Iron was shallow

Had a similar type day yesterday.
Walked back to our car with my head hung low............hoping to find something good before loading up my gear after todays hunt.

Trash trash trash. deep deep deep, pulltabs, bottle caps, canslaw.
All the sports fields were busy with players today, had to settle for a schoolyard never found much at.
Walked away with only 1 Loon, 2 nickels and 4 pennies and a bit of excitement when I unearthed a ring.
Excitement lasted all of 5 seconds when it was realized it was only pot metal.

Only real good thing about today, got to see where all the adults sit to watch their kids play. Had visions of
gold slipping off their finger and coins falling out of their pockets.............. And was asked to find a pin buried in a baseball diamond
that held first base in place. Found it in about 10 seconds.

sven I had a good time , but I am going to slack on making the videos , so I can do more detecting, its a real paine to make the videos, I had not even tapped the spots i was in today, just no rings under the coil , I like how the mirage performs, and its fun to take out ,

Gunnar, great video and the Mirage seems to be working well, shame about the videos but can understand it and thanks for taking the time to make the videos of the silver hammered coins.

Many thanks

Hi Sven...

I was wondering if you would share the plans for your self built Mirage PI?

I am interested in building my own machine.

Thanks,
Glenn

Hi, sent you an email with the info.

LOL you are too funny Gunnar  You have many talents and your narrating voice is one of them. You make some fantastic videos especially when you drop in these "intermission scenes" Were you hunting on your land? I could hear diesel trucks / tractors running in the background. Thanks for taking me along on your detecting adventure.
