Surely a different beast. Olbie at the hobby but newbie on the Explorer....everything is falling into place. Hit an area today pounded to death.
1914 barber dime, buffalo nickel and 3 wheaties.
All around the 8 inch depth. Also dug the bottom
of a sterling silver spoon that was broke off. Went about 16 inches, thought for sure I had a silver half...Like everything takes time....

Thats right, No free lunches here, olbie, by the way, what's an olbie?

Dan,
Dont sound that tough untill you have used it, but I think once you have a few hours on the Explorer it will become easier.
You did OK with it for the third time out with it and hope it only gets better for you.
You say you are a oldie with detecting?? How many years?? I just finished my 28th year of this great hobby and it feels like it was only a few years ago. Lot of changes over the years isnt it??
Rick

I think ten yrs in the hobby and using various machines would cover it...however stil a newbie on Explorer....so many machines, so little time....
