Took the Vaq to a small park that was full of tabs and screw caps. This was the third target I dug. I thought it was gonna be a pull tab by the way it was breaking up.I was wrong again. Its smashed pretty good. Can a jeweler usually straighten them?

If you heat it up to dull red and dunk it in water, it should soften the silver enough to work back into shape.
I wouldn't pay a jeweler to fix something that I could do at home. That's just me. Looks like an easy fix. No kinks.

Nice find... I purchased a used ring mandrel from a local jewelry store that was closing down and use it to straighten out bent rings I find... it works great and does a fine job.
I also have a small rubber and plastic mallet that I use with the mandrel.
This would work on your find as well.
