Ok..well keeping with my blind squirrel analogy since it seems to be working so well for me.
I went back to the same ball field tonight, to continue gridding the area. As Ron commented on my previous post, it takes just an inch to miss a deepie. I completely agree.
So tonight turned in a couple more surprises, a 1906 barber, a 1918 D wheatie, and a 1944 wheatie. Along with a nice little coin spill so I took a picture of the spill with my other three finds, and thought I'd share the happiness. (yup happy dance night number three) And I figure I've only hit about 1/10th of the area. So far it's been one of the most productive areas I have personally ever hunted. (for Clad, silver and gold woo hoo!!)
Thanks for the comments, I really enjoy seeing everyone elses finds which encourages me to keep on plugging away during my personal silver droughts.
HiPro, D2 is working fine!!
