Did good today. Got 4 wheats 09, 37, 36, 33, one 1936 Buff, a 1904 Indian, a cub scout pin, and an older girl scout pin, an old Larkin cold cream lid, and a womens bowling trophy top.

That site sure is good to you. Seems like a lot of buffs are 1936 - maybe they made a lot that year. I dug a man's bowling top one time. Good digs, steve in soaz

that when you earn your Bobcat badge, you have to be hung upside down and your badge pinned on appearing right side up!

That way, your badge will be upside down when you stand upright.

The badge will be turned right side up ONLY after you do a good deed!

Don't know anything about the scouts and I thought that was a pretty funny ceremony. So, I went to a couple of sites to check it out and found this:

* The Boy Scouts of America prohibits any Bobcat ceremony in which boys, are physically turned upside down*

You just can't have good old fashioned fun anymore. :)

I was active in scouting with my two sons over 25 years ago. The badge or rank ceremony was something like a rite of passage for Cub Scouts. Mom or Dad would pin the badge on the boy while someone held the boy upside down in his arms. It was all innocent fun.

Ever since that time the Boy Scouts of America and every other organization that represents good and godliness has been under systematic & constant attack.

Been there done that! Spent 8 years as a leader! :) Upside down!

Even when I was young we didn't have the upside down ceremony. Must have been back when cars were horses!
