Well a good day for my son and I at the local park... My son using my XTerra 70 has been whining about not finding anything good lately .. Suddenly he hollers I have some kind of a token!! I told him to run to the bathroom and carefully rinse it off.. He came back and said it has a eagle on the back.. As I looked at it it was the same eagle on the seated quarters and halves.. A company that sells silk in New York!! After we got home I cleaned a bit better and got on the net ..
This is a park where the original courthouse stood in the 1840's and Abe Lincoln practiced law there.. After some searching my son came up with some info the Abe worked for that company in New York!!!!! How would a silk token from New York end up in a small farming community in Illinois?? Seems the only way if it was Lincolns... 7" under a root with the 3KHz coil... Love that coil and haven't taken it off since I got it!!

Very sweet token!!!

Cosmic,
Call CSI and see if they can pull any of Lincoln's DNA off that token, LOL.
Nice find and research by your son. You never know, it just may have been his and it's a great story.
