3d quality

This question sounds stupid to many of you I am sure but,from reading some of the posts I get the impression that those 3ds with 1021 and 1121 serial numbers are different from each other in quality. Is this true? If so, what is the dif?

Rumors about units made by original Fisher perhaps tweaked for greater depth and proper calibration. Can't prove it by me as I had units made by the new Fisher and went just as deep with proper calibration. When companies merge naturally going to see new faces, bosses, testers and the like so imagine could be some disgruntled former members and the like so one can imagine why rumors fly..Naturally metal detectors even two exact models are not 100 percent the same as internals are not 100 percent the same add a bad solder joint or weak internal electronic part along with the initial setup of each unit all add to hot and cold units but usually just a tad different in most cases..
