3d and relics

Occasionally I see a post regarding some aspect of the cz3d use and the idea that this detector is not as effective a relic hunter as other machines. Just what about this detector limites it as a relic hunter? All relics are metal .All machines detect metal. What makes my machine inferior to others at a relic hunt????????

You misunderstood some posts or posts were not accurate. I guess it depends on what type of relics you are looking for as they could be ferrous or non-ferrous and of course if you only dug the high tones which is recommended for the advanced mode you would miss the ferrous. In that case you would have to not discriminate iron and run the disc. wide open and accept all to catch those relics which are ferrous or a combination of ferrous and non-errous and of course always autotune which is an all metal mode. Perhaps
I misread your post but the CZ3D is as good as any for relic hunters when discrimination is set correctly to accept what you are looking for and certainly as deep or deeper than most other relic units on the market...Of course all depends on the ground you are hunting and as if the ground has a high content of iron mineraliation CZ's do like rusty iron and it could help or hurt you relative depth and masking...All in all a good relic unit in my estimation but may differ in your neck of the woods...

dan pa Thanks for your reply on my post regarding the cz3d's relic hunting ability. I still do not understand what makes one detector better at hunting relic than another.Does the number readouts provide an advantage ? or maybe the the picture icons on a screen?
