Hi
Please, help me.Can I put 3800 mah nimh batteries (1.2 V each) in my alkaline batteries pod for my Excalibur?
Rafael

Hello Rafael,
To answer your question you should have no problems using those batteries, and of course it can take standard AA batteries. Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Kellyco Chick

Hi Rafael
Read this, http://www.findmall.com/read.php?26,787984, I wouldn't use them because off the low voltage.

My Hunting partner uses the 1400mah that can be found on ebay... and talks highly of them.. Especially when it only takes 1 hr to charge..

8x 1.2=??? 9.6v Nominal operating voltage for Excalibur is 12 volts. Surely spending $1200 for the detector you don't want to try and operate it with less.
