I went to a bank and they had $380 in halves. One of the rolls looked old. I got in the car and pulled out the old looking one. It had tape, silver written on it and an old phone number. I thought it can't be. As the pictures below show, oh yea, 29 Ben's and 11 Lady's. 1 Pound, 1.7 ounces of 90% silver. Today was the day Mel (see my signature below).
What a great story, finds, excitement, silver and treasure. You are one lucky dog
It was exciting. It will probably never happen again but the memory will last forever. Kinda like finding your first gold ring.

OK, I've had enough! Tell me what do you say to the teller? Do you have any silver coins in very old wrappers I could buy please?

I went through a box before I realized I looked for silver only.

The 1974 D Double Die fetches $150 !!!

$12.50 to $62 on Ebay. Now I found out after I have been thru a lot of $$$ worth. I iwll check the 1974's from now on.

Count yourself lucky! I went through $1000 worth of halves today and found 8 silvers (most 40%) in the first $500. Nothing in the 2nd $500! No ladies or anything special like that yet.

I'm curious to see how that pans out. $130 in hand rolled today, one 1953 Ben, 2 40's and a 1983 error coin.
