Good Day all,

My friend Paul & I went out hunting around 10: am and Rick showed up around 1: pm at a local park (no snow on the ground today) the ground was easy to dig. We stayed until 5: pm and had a blast!!!
I was able to get out a little on Fri. for 2 hrs.

I miss ice fishing which I am usually doing this time of year but with this new sport that I'm now active in, if there is no ice the I can metal detect, the next best thing, I am hoping to fine better places to go were there may be silver and other good finds.

As you know Gary, this is unusual for us Michiganders in January. Looks like you picked a great year to get into metal detecting! Just think of your detector as a warm weather Vexilar..... :)

I'm over by Muskegon, I was out all day Saturday too, and yes. it was just a perfect day! I post over on the Fisher thread. Where you fellows from?
The lack of snow has me worried about what will be waiting for us in the Spring, with no snow being plowed, (yet) and no sledding going on. A buddy of mine was out in Lake Mich hunting yesterday, usually theres big ice floes all piled up along the shore.

Were over here on the E side of the state, N of the town of Rochester, I a little concerned about the lack of snow and Ice on the lakes, I just hope we don't get the 30 days of rain like last year, makes it hard to get the garden in. and detect.

Just East of Grand Rapids here. I'll be out tomorrow, supposed to be another nice day. Wish I had my V3i now. A couple more months and I'll have it..of course by then we'll be knee deep in the white stuff...
