38 cents and some trash:nopity::cry:

I had to go across the county today to meet with the water utilities about an overcharge on my water bill, so while i was near the Gulf I decided to check out the local beach.I hunt this beach all the time,but this was the highest tide I have seen. It was do to Ike moving up the Gulf. I went in waist deep and it was like a mine field you hit a hole about every 20 steps. Some of the holes had to be from kids at low tide, they were huge. All I manged to get in 1 1/2 hours was 38 cent and some trash. Here are a few pics.

NORMALLY THERE IS 50 YARDS OF BEACH FROM THE SHOWER OUT

My first out with Wader on Sunday I collected $0.12. But I am happy. I am high. Positive. Refusing.:devil:

i had a similar experience last night. i was on a marathon from 5:00pm till 3:00am. all i came up with was a couple bucks in change & really sore back/legs. one signal was under the pier, began digging "with a great deal of help from the ocean water" kept refilling my hole until the radius was approximately 4 ft. wide X 3ft. deep, until i dug up a BEAUTIFUL aluminum can top. talk about waste of time!!! i was so furious!!! i narrowed it down to, i did for the "thrill of the hunt" theory. today, i slept in on my day off until 3:30pm. my day was gone, my plans were done. i was going to pick up this killer maual scoop made from a local fellow metal detector. its basically a tubular plug with a latch that pushes the plug out when checking for your treasure. they aren't exactly cheap, but, from what i've been told. works wonders, as the inventor is practically unbeatable when it comes to accuracy & speed when hunting in grass or similar filled areas. i'll post a pic when i get mine. anyways, remember, metal detecting is a privledge, "take all your finds & dispose of properly". :whites::nopity:
