The 37th Annual HARC Open Beach Hunt will be Saturday, February 16th, 2019 at East Beach / Apffel Park, in Galveston, Texas. Again, this year the event will be held jointly with the Texas Association of Metal Detecting Clubs (TAMDC). During this fun filled day there will be 5 hunts. In addition to the hunts both HARC and TAMDC will run raffles.
7:30 – 8:15 Registration
8:30 – 9:00 Silver dimes hunt
9:30 – 10:00 Silver quarters hunt
10:30 – 11:30 TAMDC Hunt (separate form & fee)
11:30 – 12:30 Lunch
12:30 – 1:00 FREE Kids Hunt (12 and under)
1:15 – 2:00 The Main Hunt.
The hunt goes on rain or shine. For the HARC hunts, 100% of the hunt fee goes back into the ground as silver coins or tokens.
The tokens are redeemable for prizes which include metal detectors, gold coins, silver dollars, silver rounds, pin pointers, and detector "swag" donated prizes.
Last year with 78 hunt entries, HARC planted or gave as prizes over 5100 silver coins. 100+ tokens prizes that included 4 gold coins, 9 metal detectors, and 4 Garrett pin pointers.
Prizes for the HARC raffle will be: Minelab Equinox 600, 1/10 oz. gold coin, 5 oz. silver bar, and silver dollars
