WOW...this is something alright...I saw a special about Napoleon once, where most of his army froze to death in weather like this...Who could fight in this kind of weather?

In fact I have trouble comprehending why anyone would want to detect at near zero temps............. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It must be more than the few coins found that draws you into the great outdoor frozen tundra......... ??????..........

I think they have Doctors with couches to help you understand ...................................:help:.................

Yep, a guy has to draw the line somewhere, and make up for lost detecting time later on...'course I guess a fellow can toss out a handful of change in the living room, disc out the floor nails, put on a blindfold, and try to find them in the dark! That would be one funny hunt video idea for one of you! Dont be digging up the carpet though, or you might get tossed out in this weather!

I bet a guy could build a large indoor metal detecting arena and make some money during the winter months from all us crazy people needing a fix . Charge to get in and plant targets everyday or so to keep them finding stuff maybe prize tokens or something . interesting idea anyway .

Its like minnesota everywhere!!! Ouch.. would need a concrete saw to retrieve targets in this weather.. stay warm my friends.

Thats a great idea Bearharold! :clapping: All sorts of empty buildings at every mall...if they had coffee, and maybe snacks and perhaps beer, and did like you said, threw out tokens or silver coins or somesuch, maybe had competition speed shoots and if there was a dealer on site, or several dealers went in on this together...with all the latest and greatest gear a guy could try out and buy...heck, even a pool to wade in and hunt in the sand?

It would have to be in the right location, and maybe only for a few months in the winter, like those halloween or christmas stores that spring up in season.....heck I'm surprised BassPro or Cabelas has not thought of this yet! If they put it on for even just a weekend sometime after Christmas, and really advertised it right, they'd be mobbed.
