Went out Sunday to get some dirt time. Cruised over to a school the next town over. Lots of open field, with a smattering of trees and playground equipment. Got the Pro fired up in pro zero, sensitivity set 3 below max, and started digging. Hitting the high traffic areas first, the coins started piling up. Then the 1st silver ring pops out of the edge of a wood chipped playground area, a green stoned claddagh. Circling around the playground in the grass and clover nets more coins along with the 4-hearts silver ring sparkling in the warm June daylight. Clover really does swallow up the coins!!
Getting near lunch time, the "gold" ring peeks out from the roots. Probably a "nitro" faker, it's very light and, dang it, I can't read the ridiculously small stamping. Work back to the auto, picking up a few more coins. After a rough count, it looked like a 300 coin day was in reach. Cracker Barrel for lunch, then it was back to the clover. A side note, I noticed as the day warmed the carpenter and honey bees were everywhere, thousands of those critters feasting on clover "nectar".
Being that it was cloudy and breezy, and I'd never dug 300 coins in a single day before, the Pro and I just kept digging. Towards the end of the day the last silver band came to light. So the total comes to $49.99. And 326 coins that will visit the tumbler this week. The pile O' trash targets are pictured to. Very happy to bag a 300+ day, but here sits one sore fellow. Thanks to all of you that post here, it seems to make me a better searcher, whether it's the cool finds or an idea/technique/setting to experiment with!!
