305 on the beach

New member
How does the 305 do on the beach and what kind of set up would be good. My kids each have a 305.

It does a good job in the dry stuff, but it will false in the wet stuff. Now that the 305 does have a ground balance, it may well help in sorting that out. I had the 30 so am not familiar with the 305. From memory, it doesn't like having waves crashing over the coil. It gets very noisy.
Mick Evans.
