3030 classroom

it can be accessed through the small banner (under the sponsor's banners) at the top of this forum. HH Randy

My follow-up is not intended to be a complaint but rather a suggestion. It seems that I have to scroll and scroll and then scroll one more time before getting to the meat of the CTX-3030 forum. I mean below the Find's banner is this huge picture of the CTX-3030; then we have to scroll, and scroll, and scroll some more to get to the threads which is the real reason for coming here.

Not that my opinion matters but to have the Classroom forum where it use to be eliminated one banner/scroll and a smaller representation of the CTX-3030 would eliminate at least one scroll. I realize the sponsors deserve a spot and of course should be here but could two sponsor banners be side-by-side? (just a thought)

If my suggestion is out of place, this is not my intention but rather to see this forum continue to be the BEST and most USER-FRIENDLY forum on the internet. But, if I have crossed the line, please accept my apologize and I will not be offended if it is deleted.

Although I only have to scroll one time to "get to the meat" of the forum, I get your point regarding the size of the picture of the CTX 3030. I don't know how to make those changes.... but I think I know the guy who does! We'll see if we can make it a bit easier to navigage the site. As to moving the Classroom over to a part of this forum...... the reason I did that is simply because I was spending much of my time moving posts made to that forum, over here. I'm open to other suggestions on how we could better utilize the resources we have available. But I think having a small "click on me" banner to access the forum is better than having another sticky post hanging around. If you don't want to click on that banner everytime you want to go to the Resource Center, a suggestion I would offer is to go ahead click on the Resource Center (classroom) forum and go to that site..... then save it as a favorite on your computer and put it in your favorite's bar. Then all you have to do is click on the favorite and your into the Resource Center without having to navigate through the banner. HH Randy

Thanks Randy for your gracious reply. Regarding scroll, I have a touch screen and I touch and drag downward to scroll which is why I used the expression scroll, and scroll, and scroll. Gotcha on the "spending much time moving posts," I am a guilty party myself where coming from the "Explorer" forum there was more discussion in the classroom than we have here in the CTX Classroom I posted something that got moved. Over there they seem to use the general Explorer forum to post their finds and the Classroom for Q&A discussion. I believe "Resources" rather than "Classroom" better describes the intended purpose of the CTX Classroom so maybe a way to eliminate excessive posting there would be to better explain the vision for it's intended use.

Regarding the CTX picture, maybe no picture at all but rather the CTX decal that is on the side of the Control Box or the wording on page 1 of the 'Getting Started' pdf. There it has CTX3030 with the red line/arrow underneath followed by The Future of Discovery in bold italics.

Thanks for listening; maybe some others will chime in. I can live with it either way, as moderator you do a great job. Find's Treasure Forums is still the best knowledge based forum for metal detecting on the net, hands down.

Don.....

The forum for the Minelab CTX 3030 was a good idea. With Digger and Gone Hunting over there you have 2 great minds to pick!
