30 years and a new first for me.....:clapping:

I found my first ever Bust dime yesterday, 1827. Having never found one, I didn't know what it was at first, McLucky had to tell me, I thought it might be a Reale at first. After a field wash, I could see the details. Other finds of the day was a 1850 LC and a silver disk the size of a Half Dime but worn so smooth there is no detail on either side to ID it. Great finds. Congratulations. It looks like our new detecting year is off to an awesome start for several of the club members. Steve C's Seated and now your Bust and Large Cent.

Good going

And it's a first for me too.......I've never held a Bust coin before. What an experience and wouldn't it be great to hear it's stories. Oh, if it could only talk. Congrats Larry! Great hunting! :clapping:

Incredible! That's a East coast find there. Nice work.

As McLucky stated, the bar has been set and I think it's been buried. My book says your mystery coin could be a 1/2 real from Mexico with the last date of issue being 1808. Way to go.

So jealous! I went out with Crews and all I got was a button(go figure), a 1/4 cent trade token from Kewanee and a crusty wheat!
