My buddy and I met at McDonald's to discuss a planned hunt for today. It was pouring rain, so we hit some pawn stores and sausage delis to get some good sausages. It did stop raining, so we opted to hunt a nearby park, and were surprised at how many tokens it produced.

Between the 2 of us, we dug up 30 tokens. 22 of those tokens were the X3S type :devil:and 5 were "HEADS I WIN, TAILS YOU LOSE" and a couple of other common ones. Coins were few, however, an old slug, possibly fired from an enfield rifle showed up at about 7-8 inches. It is shown below. We headed out to yet another place, however, it just started pouring rain, so we called it a day!

You find the strangest and most interesting things. Edmonton has some creative token making people for sure. I have found only one novelty token in 2 years !

How many people can claim they found more naughty tokens than coins in a single hunt (in a public park) ? :)

I think those things operated the old "peep-show" machines at adult book stores. That's what I've heard anyhow. There's some parks in San Francisco where you can find dozens of those stupid tokens each/any time out.

We used to save them until our next water hunt, where we would seed the area with those tokens and wait to see how long it took for others to start posting them.

and of course, Nevada....but I could be mistaken.

lived down by a river in south Texas that had a sandy beach. He would take counterfeits, like 16D Mercs, 18/17 SLQ, for example,
and sow them on the beach (he said he always saw people there with detectors.) When they hit one---jump up and down, screaming and yelling the whole time.)

Nice finds. I love finding tokens.

I dug one that I considered posting but decided not to because it would not be appropriate to some members.
