30 Minute hunt at local School....Didn't find much but have question:shrug:

Wisconsin Pete

Out to a school around the corner from my house for 30 minutes witht he Excal 1000. Now I must be pinpointing wrong cause the size of the holes I'm digging seem a awefully large just to get a few pennies out of the ground...is there a better way of doing it? Holes are about the size of a CD that just seem way to large compared to what I was digging with my Whites XLT...any help?

Dont forget that the excal does not use a V type detection pattern but rather a knife shape from the heel to the toe of the center section of the coil. Put the machine in pinpoint mode and x the location from different directions until you get used to the detection area of the coil. The DD is a little different than the xlt coil for detection pattern and pinpointing, just takes a little getting used to. Hope this helps...
