Stopped on my way home to hunt a yard. It quit raining shortly after I got there. First tone was a high tone 00 29 Out popped the 1918 silver half about 4" deep under a root. Pulled the other three items along with a few bits of trash then it started to rain again.

Well thats a great short hunt! I only ever found one standing half in the 20 years I'v been detecting.,and only a few quarters. Now dimes seem to be like a magnet to the explorer.Great job!!

This is my first silver half. Not in great shape but I was excited to see it in the hole instead of a clad quarter.

Been lurking for some time but always enjoy the finds. Need to start posting more but need to change my name to 1silvereach week...l.ol. good looking walker

I don't thinking anyone has been there before. I found everything within a few feet from the front porch 4" to 5" deep. Heading to Topsail beach on Friday for 8 days but as soon as I get back I'm going to spend a few more hours there.
