3 X 18 Wide Scan Coil ?

Craig

New member
I would like to know if anyone has used the 3 X 18 Wide Scan Coil. What are your likes and dislikes on this coil. Is it lite like the Bigfoot coil or does it have some weight issues. Thank you for your input.
Craig

I like it for tot lots, gets the job done real quick. Good for shallow hunting in the grass for recently lost stuff. Will get a dime at about 4", and a ladies gold ring at about 5" max.
Seems light to me, no problem with weight. Good coil to have, a lot of gold is not deep.

Good coil for covering a lot of area, easy pinpointing. Not a depth demon, but that' not what it's for.

there is a good difference in depth between the regular umax cleansweep and the hot cleansweep. I have the hot one on my Tejon right now. Ive found nickels 8" down with it on beaches. to keep it light you need to remove the coil cover, tesoro makes the thickest coil covers Ive seen yet(great for protection but heavy). like the guys mentioned it will do an area quickly and its best used in cleaner areas so you dont miss stuff from masking.

hi craig,if you want the good oil on the 3"x18"clean sweep coil send a pm to werewolf.he uses one on his cibola to great effect.bye for now,blowfly.p.s.tell him robert said hello.

Good evening Rob & Mick:ausflag:

Craig - the Cleansweep is an incredible coil - I rarely take mine off. As already said it covers a lot of territory very quickly, and as the the coil is active from tip to toe it doesn't miss much! In fact anything down to a depth of around 4-5 inches will not be missed by that massive sweep!

As Neil says it's quite light without the coil cover, and is effortless to swing (expect in longer grass). Pinpoints like a dream.

We're very lucky here in Oz in that we have those lovely $1 and $2 coins - and Australians lose lots of them;) The CSC just loves those coins.
