That is a lot of scooping... I take it you are hunting wet/dry sand?

And you all said I did a lot of digging!?!?!?!
Way to go guys!!! Anybody up for doing some wading down some side streets in York? :)

I don't know if it's sarcasim or what ,but I'll explain anyhoo. The coins come out of the dunes ,gold jewlery, silver, clad .I'm talking hundreds of years worth .AT times you don't even need a detector..When my wife e-mails the right size photo's I"LL SHOW MY LOOT.I can't vouche for the 300 plus guy.

The fact that you got some kewl older stuff is icing on the cake. I was out for an hour yesterday and only managed 41 cents so needless to say I'm blown away by these huge finds.:please::thumbup:

BDA:cool:

Funny how it works we went back last night for 4 hours and got 6 coins. The sand that came in in 2 tides was incredable.

I agree. THe sand up my way did the same thing. On Sunday, I swear I couldve gone out there with just my sand scoop. Monday and yesterday, Stillm anaged to pull quite a few merc.s out, and they were all close to the surface. The heavier stuff is buried until the next flip as far as I can tell.

Think I saw you guys out there on Monday evening. (PI?) 2 yellow suits and one not. I was walking the beach and thought I would go home and get my machine but started to rain again and I chickened out. I read my evening paper and guess what?! :rage:3 detectorist uncover 350 coins dating back to 1800's, silver rings, etc. etc. etc. :yikes: I'm such a novice!!!!!!! Way to go!! Think I'll get a rain slicker. :sadwalk:
