3 trips out this weekend and still no Gold, a little silver though:detecting:

I cut work early on Friday and hit the old british barracks beach in Somerset. I came up with a bunch of clad and what looks to be a charge from a fireworks display and a little silver ring.
Saturday I went down to Horseshoe Bay to see if it would deliver the gold but no dice. A bit of clad, some junk earings, 3 pairs of glasses (yeah Max, they do sound lke gold but they're not:ranting:) and some odds and sods. I hooked up with Besco but the batteries in his Infinium packed it in after only five minutes, bummer.
Today I went back to the british barracks beach for another go as I couldn't get to some areas on Friday because of the heavy weed floating around in the inlet. I didn't find gold but I did get some clad and a honking silver ring with a star of david on it. Not great but not bad and I still have tomorrow so I am keeping my fingers crossed to find some gold with icing on top if I can manage to get out and about.
Here's the pics:

Besco at Horseshoe Bay (little did he know that his batteries were done)

I said that if he likes his Infinium and does not want to be down waiting for repairs, to mount the control housing to the stem. See that wire hanging down like that? It's sudden death, when you step on it or set the scoop down on it. He probably says, it will never happen, but I know different. The surf is a hostile place to do business. Consider him warned!

Besco is a big boy and will do what he's going to do but it was nice of you to warn him.

Cheers Mate and Happy New to You and the Huntress,

I here you Pete. That's why I don't live in the great white north anymore. It's a cool 62 degrees today but the water temp is still 68 degrees so I'm headed out for the low tide at 1 pm.
