3 toasted coppers

Well-known member
got out for a few hours last weekend.. last weeks heavy rain made a big difference..was able to find 3 coppers, however they are in tough shape.. 1/2 cent is 1806, king George and new jersey copper are barely identifiable... also found 3 flat buttons one of which has a cool design engraved in it... found a nice piece of quartz and a very thick piece of a very old black glass bottle... happy huntin all.. Hey Booty, Looks like you found a great old spot. Hope you find old silver. HH, Jabbo

That's a great spot, I can smell the antiquity... I whacked a place like that a year ago...clam and oyster shells often are found in early places like that.
Those coppers look better than most of mine too. The button is sweet and I also collect chunks of black glass. Could be part of a 200+ year old rum bottle.
