I found this silver ring today and later a holed 1863 seated liberty half dollar and a holed 1819 capped bust half dollar in the same hole with the White's Eagle II SL I have listed for sale. That makes 7 rings and a Barber Quarter and two silver halves in the last 2 months with the detector.

You did a great job .. I was told from an old timer that back in the early days people would drill a small hole in their coins to sew them inside there shirt or jacket. That way they would always have money...KEN

Congrats on the halves but gotta admit I am super jealous. I have a seated half and would love to find amything capped bust.wtg and hh.

I'm super jealous too about the Capped Bust!! Hope to find one some day.

man o man these large silver halfs are flying out of the ground... you guys are killing me..... somebody told me that coins were sometimes nailed to the main beam in the attic for good luck... don't know if its true but that's what I was told....congrats on those fantastic finds...
