Yesterday I found 14 cents wading around in Lake Mich. :sadwalk: I had to go to work and that cut my day short!

The day before was good on clad including a JFK half...[attachment 299907 sept2414.jpg]

Today I was in the water at 7:30 and hunted until noon and got this mess which has a half dozen wheaties and a V nickel...[attachment 299906 sept2614.jpg]
Three rings, one is an old silver, one is made out of twisted wire and I cant tell what it is..and one is a 2015 class ring (lustrium)

Then, I hit a huge signal in 5' of water that turned out to be some sort of heavy ingot wrapped in tin foil!...I took It home and gave it to the Wife since she has a birthday coming up. I told her, its either gold, or silver or lead! She had a good time unwrapping her gift! Oh the excitement! The anticipation! All the while I was telling her in a hushed low voice about how old timers hid their gold and silver ingots in the lake! How they would wrap them in tin foil to keep the government from finding them! She quickly peeled off that foil with a paring knife as if she was peeling a prize potato! Unfortunately, this one turned out to be lead![attachment 299908 sept2614-1.jpg] "Oh well...better luck next time" I said...she said "If you are referring to my next husband, I doubt it can get any worse than this!" So I gave her the little silver ring as a booby prize..It cant weigh more than a gram...I asked her what does she really want for her birthday? She said, " A S&W .38 detective special, unregistered"......I guess I better give her that 18K from last weekend, She's too young to be a widow, and I'm too young to be an cadaver...:sadwalk:

Good tale Mud and nice pile of loot. At least 1 of the rings was silver and those V's don't come along all that often. Sounds like you were in some old sand and water. Yeah, probably "no" on the 38. Hmmm, wonder if there is something in the air. My wife has mentioned twice in the last month about learning how to handle my 9mm. Good hunting! HH jim tn

A good run there Mud!! Cool "birthday" find. Need to foil up some of my "lake lost" ingots!! Suppose melting that would be good for a black-powder rifle.....:surrender: ok, maybe not. As Jim said, here's to good hunting and poor aim!!

Mud you're on fire finding rings lately with the ATPro. That water is fixen to get really cold. That will cool you off some.
